Anne Fitzgibbon, Executive Director

Anne Fitzgibbon is founder and Executive Director of the Harmony Program. Prior to founding the Harmony Program, Ms. Fitzgibbon worked for five years as a policy advisor in the Mayoral administrations of Michael R. Bloomberg and Rudolph W. Giuliani, focusing principally on social services, youth programs, and education. She has also held management positions in the City's Office of Management and Budget, the Health and Hospitals Corporation and the Department for the Aging.

Ms. Fitzgibbon holds a Master's Degree in Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. She graduated from Barnard College and studied clarinet at the Juilliard School.

In 2007-2008, Ms. Fitzgibbon was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to work with the Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras (“El Sistema”).

 

Billy Hunter, Operations Manager

As Operations Manager for the Harmony Program, Billy assists in all aspects of program management, including managing our diverse communications, contributing to program research and evaluation, and coordinating our day-to-day logistics.

Billy earned a B.A. in English from Marymount Manhattan College, and he studied music and education at Hunter College.

 

Paula Nemerson, Director of Teacher Training and Support

Paula is a passionate educator who has taught K-12 general music, chorus, and percussion ensemble, most recently in the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. She has experience with diverse methods of instruction, such as Kodaly and Dalcroze, and she is certified in Orff Schulwerk. In addition to her work in the public schools, Paula also maintained a piano studio for private instruction, where she developed individualized and group curricula for beginner and intermediate students. A graduate of George Mason University, Paula earned her B.M. in Music Education, summa cum laude. While at George Mason, she developed and curated a professional workshops series for music majors called “SWAT Series: Students Who Are Teachers,” and served on executive boards for student chapters of the Music Educators National Conference and the Virginia Music Educators Association. Paula is a certified music educator and is currently completing her Master’s degree.

 

Yasmine Falk, Development Consultant

Ms. Falk has nine years of experience working with non-profits both large and small, including the Public Theater where she worked for seven years, eventually serving as Director of Individual Giving. Most recently, Ms. Falk has served as The Director of Development for The Film Society of Lincoln Center where she was responsible for spearheading all fundraising activities, including the public launch of a $40 million capital campaign. Ms. Falk grew up in San Francisco and Chicago, and attended NYU's Steinhardt School of Music.
